Senior Football Quarter Finals and more
There was tremendus excitement at the ICC in Canton last weekend as the senior football, senior hurling, and junior football and hurling pictures took shape. In senior football it was Christopher's and Galway who advanced to the semi-finals. In senior Hurling Wexford are in the final in spite of losing to Tipp. The sides were level on points at the top of the table and the luck of the draw was with the Slaneysiders. Also, Galway beat Tom's to force a playoff decider Wednesday night to see who will meet Tipp in the semi-final.
On the junior scene, Connemara Gaels and Shannon Blues will play to decide who will join McAnespies, Wolfe Tones, and Donegal in the semi-finals. At junior B it will be Armagh-Notre Dame, McAnespies, Mayo and Galway in the playoffs. Junior hurling sees Galway and Tom's in a semi-final on Saturday with the winners to play Wexford in the final.
