Registration

Strict eligibility and registration rules apply to any player who wants to play Gaelic Football, Hurling or Camogie in the United States. The rules that apply in the North American County Board (NACB) area, which is all of the US except for the New York metropolitan area, are set in the NACB By-Laws. While most new players in the NACB area are US-born, many new players have also played for GAA clubs in other GAA jurisdictions.

NACB Players must meet all the eligibility requirements, especially those players who are visiting the US from Ireland for the summer period. The Eligibility & Registration Rules apply to all GAA players - Men and Women Footballers, Hurlers and Camogie players regardless of whether they have played or registered for GAA clubs previously.

Players are automatically eligible to register with a GAA Club in the NACB area if they were born in North America, have never registered with a GAA Club previously, and are still a resident of the NACB area.
